CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A standoff in Monroe County was deadly.
State police were called to Springwood Road near Effort Wednesday morning for reports of gunfire.
Troopers say a man inside refused to come out.
Authorities eventually made their way inside and found the man dead.
A woman was taken to the hospital with a head injury after the standoff in Monroe County.
