Deadly Shooting Was Justified, Monroe County DA Says

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A deadly shooting involving a state trooper was justified, according to the Monroe County district attorney.

Investigators say the trooper shot and killed Larry Pettiford after he fired at state police on June 28.

The shooting happened in the driveway of a home along Pennbrook Road near Tannersville.
